Abeni Jones is a marketer, copywriter, copyeditor, and freelance journalist with a background in education, illustration, and graphic design. She lives in Portland, Oregon.

She currently does marketing copywriting and content creation for an international creative hardware technology company, and previously was a copywriter, content manager, and managing editor at a non-profit digital media outlet. Before that, she taught middle and high school English and electives. As a freelance journalist, she’s written for Autostraddle, the Washington Post, Fast Company, them.us, Travel + Leisure, Travel Weekly, and more.

She has also given workshops and trainings at businesses, nonprofits, colleges, and conferences around the country focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) topics and on community building.
