For decades sexuality educators of color have been expected to utilize evidence-based curricula and other approved activities that do not always meet the needs of the populations we serve. Contrary to an exclusive evidence-based focus and white supremacist ableist heterosexist practices that has been embedded in traditional curricula, WOCSHN believes in centering the bodies and experiences of queer and disable communities of color as being valuable and integral parts of collective healing and learning. Using gender-neutral language, avoiding ableist language and activities, centering bodies of color, and focusing on pleasure for bodies of color are more ways this curriculum is a radical addition to the sexuality education curricula available.
The WOCSHN Curriculum is available for purchase by each member who authored a lesson plan and will keep 100% of the funds they receive. The curriculum sells for $50 for individuals and $125 for organizations.
